It’s a problem when people say “I don’t see color.” A big one. When someone says “I don’t see color,” it means they don’t truly see you. Color goes beyond the color of your skin. It’s about identity. It’s about history. It’s about where you come from and how your heritage moves you forward. This campaign is about celebrating your truth. At UOMA, we see color. And by seeing color, we see you.

To launch our campaign in a meaningful way we wanted to takeover e a space where people from marginalized communities are not normally seen-Hollywood. To do this, we painted the most iconic symbol of the industry, The Hollywood Sign, from white to all the colors that should be represented in mainstream media. The video was released on the night of the Oscars as a rally cry to unite those who were snubbed by the Academy and as a protest to challenge the entertainment space to be more inclusive.

CAUTION these are not color corrected nor have they been released yet. But you know, what a lovely way to see our multi-dimensional cast members selling our product. Leaving no crumbs.
